Prince Jackson pays touching tribute to dad Michael

Prince Jackson spent his 18th birthday weekend by paying tribute to his late father Michael Jackson.

"Before I turn 18 tomorrow I really want to thank a few people and first is obviously my dad," Prince wrote to Twitter. "He was and is an incredible human being . Not only did he give me the gift of life, he gave me an incredible opportunity to make something of myself."

Prince, who turned 18 on Saturday, also thanked his guardians for all the support they've given him since the tragic death of his father in June 2009.

"Secondly my cousin/guardian TJ, he has made so many sacrifices to help me along and he's been there when I needed him and helped shape who I am.

"Finally my grandmother/guardian she has been through so much and is such a strong woman to have to live [with] so much, she's an inspiration to keep going no matter what and has always been there for us and I love them all."

Prince's grandmother and cousin have had joint custody of Prince and his two siblings Paris, 16, and Blanket, 12, since 2012.

But when he's not writing emotional posts to Twitter, rumour has it Prince is making quite the name for himself on the Hollywood scene and his guardians aren't happy about it.

With sources telling Page Six in January that the part-heir to Michael's $1 billion fortune has cemented himself into the LA party circuit.

"Prince Jackson...is living large," the source said. "Making music with new pal Justin Bieber, sampling the Hollywood club scene, juggling multiple girlfriends and generally disregarding his guardians."
