Nicki Minaj makes music history, triumphantly twerks: Watch!

How do you celebrate when you're Nicki Minaj? You twerk, obviously.

The rapper, who just made history by beating Aretha Franklin's record for most Billboard Hot 100 hits by a woman, has celebrated accordingly with a video guaranteed to get your attention.

It's an honour Aretha held for nearly four decades, boasting 73 Hot 100 hits, but after Nicki released three new songs this month alone, she claimed victory over the 74-year-old soul singer with 76 mega hits.

Of Nicki's charting tracks, more than a dozen are collaborations with other artists like Lil Wayne, Beyonce, Rihanna, Ariana Grande, and more.

Nicki, 34, posted to Instagram upon learning the news. She wrote "Island girl from South Side Jamaica, QUEENS!!!! NEW YORK CITY!!!!! 👅Rrraaaahhhhhhhh!!!!!!!"

Followed promptly by another post, that gave us all a twerking lesson, as she got down in her red leather (rather airy) two-piece and black knee-high boots.

"When u find out u just became the only woman in the history of billboard to have 76 Hot 100 billboard entries," she captioned the clip.

The result? SOLID BOOTY SHAKING.
