Coroner rules on actress Mya-Lecia Naylor's cause of death at age 16
A coroner has released findings on the death of British child star Mya-Lecia Naylor, who passed away in April at age 16.
Per BBC, the South London Coroner's Office ruled that Naylor was killed "by misadventure," a ruling specific to the United Kingdom that means a person did not intend to take their own life, rather their death was accidental while doing something that could cause death.

At around 10am on April 7, 2019, paramedics rushed to Naylor's family's home in South Norwood upon reports of a teenage girl in cardiac arrest, according to BBC.
She was pronounced dead at Croydon University Hospital soon after. The young actress had no drugs or alcohol in her system at her time of death, the coroner said.

Her father Martin Naylor told BBC that he had seen his daughter just two hours before she was found. He said he believed her passing was caused by a "spur of the moment" act and that she had not intended to take her own life.
Before the tragic accident, her family told the outlet that Mya-Lecia had been "grounded and stopped from going to a party" and had some concerns about her secondary education test scores. However, they said nothing suggested that she intended to take her own life.
At the time of her death, Mya-Lecia appeared on the CBBC shows Millie Inbetween and Almost Never.
Naylor regularly shared photos with her 'Almost Never' castmates on social media. Instagram
She got her acting start as an infant on the cult classic TV series Absolutely Fabulous. On film, she appeared alongside Halle Berry and Tom Hanks in 2012's Cloud Atlas.
