Minnie Driver says she avoided 'biggest mistake' of her life by cancelling engagement to Josh Brolin
Minnie Driver is sharing her thoughts on her ex-fiancé, Josh Brolin.
The Good Will Hunting star opened up about her engagement from over two decades ago, sharing that she's glad the duo never went through with the wedding.
"The one time I was engaged it would have been, I think, the biggest mistake of my life," she told The Sunday Times in a recent interview.

Driver and Brolin met and fell in love as costars on the film Slow Burn, released in 2000.
It wasn't long before they were engaged, however, five and a half months later the couple announced that they were calling it off.
"Minnie Driver and Josh Brolin have decided to cancel their wedding plans. Their decision is mutual and amicable," a rep for Driver told ABC News at the time.
Speaking with The Sunday Times, Driver went on to explain that the family dynamic she grew up in influenced the way she viewed relationships as an adult.
She shared that at just 12-years-old her parents split due to her father being married to another women and having a secret second family.
"If I look at my history, what it did was make me want to be married so much and then choose men who were so not the right men to be married to," she told the outlet.
"So I would carry on longing to be married and to have that conservative version [of a relationship], find men who had no interest in that, and then if one did, run a mile."

Now, the Ella Enchanted actress is dating writer and director Addison O'Dea.
The duo have been together since 2019, and Driver says their relationship is everything she hoped for.
"Now I'm with someone who doesn't want to get married but who is the most devoted, loving, extraordinary...Everything I could have wanted in my childhood idea of a husband," she said. "He actually is."
