Pizza, cola, 500g of sugary cereal and 1.25L of ice cream: It was the breakfast that left health and fitness guru Michelle Bridges in tears.

On the series debut of TBL Families, the 44-year-old trainer broke down when confronted with Victorian brothers Tony and Pablo Jofre's calorie-packed diet and their overall "misery". Watch the emotional moment above.

In this year's series, Michelle and her fellow trainers Steve "Commando" Willis, Shannan Ponton and Tiffiny Hall must spend one week eating the same diet as their contestants.

That wasn't an easy challenge for Michelle, who was forced to eat a 2.5kg burrito (5450 calories) that gave her a stomach ache and "a cracker of a headache".

Michelle, who is expecting a baby with Commando just after Christmas, told news.com.au she "wasn't pregnant during the home visit thankfully".

In a teaser for the show, the trainers have a weigh-in that shocks everyone. Just how much did they gain? Watch below:
