All grown up! Michael Jackson's son Prince has a girlfriend and a budding showbiz career

Prince Jackson may not be able to moonwalk like his late father Michael, but he has definitely inherited his dad's love for show business.

The 19-year-old gave a rare interview to Entertainment Tonight about his career and personal life. It turns out Michael's eldest child has a secret girlfriend – but he was still a little shy to go into much detail.

"We've been together since the beginning of…since college started," Prince told ET's Nischelle Turner, keeping his girlfriend's identity a mystery.

When asked if she was his first love, Prince scratched his head and said "no", with a cute giggle. Little heartbreaker!

Prince added that he'd never do a reality show because he likes to keep "everything private, because there's been so much of my young life that wasn't private. I like to cherish what I'm able to".

Prince, who was only 12 when his father died in 2009, isn't keen on becoming a performer himself. However, he's pursuing a career as a film producer, making music videos for rapper Omer Bhati and the Scot Triplets through his company King's Son Productions.

"Everybody thought I would do music or be a dancer," the teen said.  "I can't do either. I do enjoy film. I do enjoy that business a lot."

Prince, who is studying at Loyola Marymount University in LA, says he takes inspiration from his father's music videos – and his favourites are 'Smooth Criminal' and 'Thriller'. Good choices, we say.

Just like MJ, Prince is into philanthropy, having co-founded the organisation Heal Los Angeles.

"I'm trying to continue his work in helping children, helping homelessness and helping hunger," Prince said. "That's what we really focus on with Heal LA, but we focus on a more local base."

Prince is spending Thanksgiving with his grandmother Katherine Jackson, his sister Paris, 18, brother Blanket, 14, and the rest of the Jackson family.
