Melanie Griffith split with 'horndog' Antonio Banderas over fling with Bollywood star

Turns out Antonio Banderas and Melanie Griffith's divorce can be traced back to a leaked video of him dirty dancing with a Bollywood actress two years ago. See the clip above.

According to Ivan Bitton, who shot the footage, the dance floor PDA with Indian actress Mallika Sherawat at the Cannes Film Festival party was just the beginning of an "intense" fling that led to the star's marriage breakdown.

"I remember when they danced and they had a lot of PDA," he told Radar Online. "He had a lot of public affection with Mallika. He was saying 'God you’re so beautiful,' like a horndog would do talking to a prey."

Ivan said the actor was seeing other women at the time, but Mallika was the only one he was busted with by Melanie.

"[Antonio] was really mad about the video," he said. "He specifically said that after that video, this is when everything started to go down. It specifically started to cause problems with his wife."

But now that Antonio's marriage is over, Mallika's buddy believes there's a chance for them to rekindle their romance.

"She froze him out only because she doesn’t want to be seen as a homewrecker," he said. "She really isn't [a homewrecker]."

Adding that there is a "real chemistry between them."

Melanie filed for divorce on June 6, citing "irreconcilable differences".

"We have thoughtfully and consensually decided to finalise our almost 20-year marriage in a loving and friendly manner honouring and respecting each other," the statement reads. "Our family and friends and the beautiful time we have spent together. — Melanie & Antonio."

The actress is seeking spousal support and joint legal custody of their 17-year-old daughter, Stella.
