Matthew Perry ends engagement with fiancée Molly Hurwitz: 'Sometimes things just don't work out'

Matthew Perry and Molly Hurwitz have called it quits!

The Friends actor, 51, called off his engagement to the 29-year-old talent manager, People confirms.

"Sometimes things just don't work out and this is one of them," Perry said in an official statement. "I wish Molly the best."

Perry and Hurwitz first started dating in secret in 2018. They announced news of their engagement in November last year.

"I decided to get engaged," he told the outlet. "Luckily, I happened to be dating the greatest woman on the face of the planet at this time."

Perry's split comes after he recently starred in the much-anticipated Friends reunion special. He returned to the soundstage with former castmates Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, and David Schwimmer.

The former couple were first spotted together in December 2019 out on a date at a restaurant. They spent Christmas 2019 together "with friends at [Matthew's] penthouse" in LA.

The exes briefly split in May 2020 but got back together shortly after. Following their breakup, Perry was seen on the exclusive celebrity dating app Raya.

The actor was recently called out by 19-year-old TikTok user outed him for matching with her in May last year, after his first split from Hurwitz.

"A lot of people were saying I'm a bully and mean for posting this, and it made me feel kind of bad, but at the same time, I feel like a lot of guys in Hollywood are talking to all these young girls and it's something that I think a lot of people should be aware of," the girl told Page Six.
