'Never seen': Married at First Sight's John Aiken promises 'bombshells' from new season

Married At First Sight star Evelyn Ellis has reunited with relationship experts John Aiken and Alessandra Rampolla on the 2024 Logies red carpet, where the experts spilled some secrets on the show's upcoming season.

"We can tell you that it is very different from any other season that we've, at least, I've ever been in," Rampolla told Ellis, who was reporting for 9honey.

"Different kinds of drama, new surprises and different situations. I never cease to be amazed."

Aiken chimed in, "We've got a couple of things that happened, Evelyn, early on, that in 12 seasons I've never seen."

That's a big claim and Ellis was eager to get more details, but the experts were keeping their lips sealed. Aiken did, however, promise "bombshells" from the new season.

He and Rampolla were keen to make the most of TV's night of nights, telling Ellis that they couldn't wait to get inside the venue and get the party started.

"We're up for an award and we just like to party, you know us," Aiken said. Rampolla added, "We're ready to party, always."

Third MAFS expert Mel Schilling wasn't in attendance, as she was on the Gold Coast with her family.

Schilling shared that she was diagnosed with colon cancer in December 2023 and has undergone several rounds of chemotherapy since.

On August 1 she posted an update on Instagram, sharing a photo with her partner and daughter alongside the caption: "Chemo done, Australia here we come #MAFSAUSEASON12"

Instagram Stories posted on Sunday showed her enjoying the warm weather on the Gold Coast while her co-stars were getting ready for the red carpet.
