Lauren Sanchez says she 'blacked out a bit' when Jeff Bezos proposed with a $3.9million engagement ring
Lauren Sanchez and Amazon founder Jeff Bezos became engaged in May after the billionaire popped the question on his $US500 million ($AU786 million) yacht.
And now Sanchez has opened up about the moment he proposed, telling Vogue that she "blacked out a bit" when she saw the 20-carat $US2.5million ($AU3.9million) engagement ring he presented her with.
After a romantic dinner, Bezos proposed by hiding the ring under her pillow, which she discovered when she hopped into bed after taking her makeup off.

"When he opened the box, I think I blacked out a bit," Sanchez said.
She said that they're undecided on where to have their wedding, but said she will be taking his last name once they said ''I do".
"We're still thinking about the wedding... what it's going to be. Is it going to be big? Is it going to be overseas? We don't know yet. We've only been engaged five months!"

She added: "I am looking forward to being Mrs. Bezos."
Just three months ago, the couple held a star-studded engagement party on the billionaire's mega-yacht.
There were a number of familiar faces at the event, an "intimate" gathering with only a "small crowd" in attendance, which took place in Positano, Italy, according to Page Six.

Though the guest list was small, their collective net worth was not, with guests including Bill Gates and his rumoured girlfriend Paula Hurd, Rupert Murdoch's ex-wife Wendi Murdoch, Bumble CEO and founder Whitney Herd, and – to some people's surprise – reality star Kris Jenner.
Others in attendance included Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, the Queen of Jordan, Rania Al Abdullah, and Corey Gamble.
They are believed to have hosted another star-studded engagement party in Beverly Hills on Sunday.

Sánchez, 53, has accumulated her own wealth through businesses and is thought to be worth $US30 million ($45 million).
Prior to this, the couple had been dating for five years. Sanchez, who rose to fame as a reporter and is now a media personality, was previously married to Hollywood talent mogul Patrick Whitesell, with whom she shares a son and daughter.
She divorced Whitesell in 2019, the same year that Bezos split from his former wife Mackenzie.
