Lady Gaga shows off pink hair in celebration of A Star Is Born anniversary

Lady Gaga is paying tribute to A Star Is Born with a throwback to the pastel pink hair that she donned in the film.

Gaga — who is celebrating one year since the A Star Is Born album was released — showed off her new hair colour while holding a plaque that shows the album's sales records.

The 'Shallow' singer captioned the Instagram post: "A year ago. A Star was Born, and here we are 6 times pink platinum."

The album achieved double platinum status in America and sold six million copies globally.

The soundtrack features the spine-tingling duet between Gaga and her co-star Bradley Cooper, 'Shallow' which became one of the most awarded songs in music history. The track won Gaga two Grammy awards, a Golden Globe award, a BAFTA award, a Critics Choice Movie Award and an Oscar during the 2019 awards run.

Gaga co-wrote the heartbreaking ballad that featured in the film with Andrew Wyatt, Anthony Rossomando and Mark Ronson.

She performed it with Cooper during her Enigma residency show in Las Vegas, and again at The Academy Awards where they completely stole the show with their chemistry on stage.

Gaga's character Ally had the bubblegum pink hair in A Star is Born after she'd catapulted to fame, and her best friend discovered her hiding in the bath before a media appearance.

The pink hair represented Ally's newfound celebrity and her agent's desire to morph her into a popstar.
