Dannii and Kylie Minogue pay tribute to ANZACs and their great grandfather on Anzac Day

Australian golden girls Kylie and Dannii Minogue haven't let lockdown stop them from "remembering and paying respects" to ANZAC veterans on Anzac Day.

Posting a photo of their late great grandfather Charles who served in World War I, Dannii, 48, wrote a touching remembrance note to him and other ANZACs.

"Remembering and paying respects to all our Anzacs, including my Great Grandfather Charles, today. #standatdawn #lightupthedawn. Lest We Forget," she captioned the photo.

Kylie, 51, re-posted her sister's photo and sweet tribute adding a love heart emoji and the hashtag #lestweforget.

Dannii also shared a second Instagram post of The Ode, a well-known verse taken from The Fallen, a poem by the English poet and writer Laurence Binyon which was first published in London in Poems of the Great War in 1914. By 1921, it was already used in commemoration services and associated with Australia.

"They shall not grow old, as that we are left to grow old; age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them," read the poem.

"Lest We Forget all the heroic men and women," she captioned the image of the poem adorned with Australian flags and the Remembrance Day poppy.
