Kyle Sandilands' manager shares how he saved the Aussie star when he was lost on the border of the US and Mexico

Kyle Sandilands' manager has gotten candid about what it's really like to work with the Aussie radio star.

On a recent episode of the Kyle and Jackie O Show, Bruno Bouchet, who not only is Sandilands' manager but also CEO of all his companies, shared some of the star's more bizarre demands.

He made sure to consider job security, first mentioning that working with Sandilands is "the funnest job in the world."

"When Kyle calls, it could be anything," Bouchet said. "It could be a three-hour chat about the news. It could be he's lost on the border of the US and Mexico."

He went on to explain Sandilands getting lost on the border of the US and Mexico was a real situation that he had to deal with in only his second week of managing him.

Apparently, the broadcaster had rented a Range Rover that had a navigation system only compatible with iPhones, and at the time he owned a Blackberry.

So, when he became lost, he called his new manager for help.

"I just said, 'Slow down a bit and just tell me some of the roads that you're on and what are some things that you can see'," Bouchet recalled.

"And you did stop me from going over the Mexico border by mistake," Sandilands said, with the duo adding how glad they were to have avoided that situation.

Bouchet also shared that when he first started managing Sandilands, he learnt of something they now refer to as "The Australia Post Parcel Theory."

"Kyle sat me down and he said, 'Look, I know this is going to sound a bit weird, but you've got to think of me as an Australia Post parcel'," Bouchet told the radio hosts.

What Sandilands meant was that he wanted Bouchet to treat him as "basically useless."

"If you were to send a package, like a parcel to England, what happens when the parcel arrives in England? It just goes around and around the conveyor belt," Kyle said.

Bouchet chimed in, finishing off Sandilands' sentiment: "Exactly. So, if Kyle's flying somewhere, and he arrives at the baggage area, well, we've got to organise for someone to pick up the baggage for him."

Sandilands' costar, Jackie 'O' Henderson, eventually weighed in on the bizarre theory, asking why he can't pick his own luggage up from the airport himself.

Bouchet had the perfect answer.

"He could," he started, "but he's an Australia Post parcel, and Australia Post parcels don't have arms."
