Khloé Kardashian claps back at fans who say she spends her money on 'worthless materialism'

Khloé Kardashian is tired of being policed on how she spends her money.

On Sunday July 7, the 35-year-old TV star and entrepreneur shared a video on Instagram of her daughter True Thompson driving around in a toy Bentley car.

The single mum was soon met with criticism about her luxury purchases.

"Another Kardashian in a Bentley," commented a fan. "You guys are so oblivious to how your excessive spending looks to the outside world. I really loved your family's story and now just can't bare to watch as you spend all this money on worthless materialism. It's so sad," one social media user commented on the video.

Kardashian then pointed out that her 14-month-old daughter wasn't actually driving a real Bentley.

"Ummm you know this is not a real Bentley? It's a toy," she replied. "No reason to be sad over a baby in a toy car. Either way I'm sorry you feel that way but I hope you have a great weekend! Focus on things that make you happy! Smile."

The fan, who probably wasn't expecting Kardashian to reply, then pointed out to the reality TV star that she has "so much influence."

"Appreciate your responding," they replied. "Just figured it's something to be thinking about. You have so much influence and know you've had a positive impact on so many. Always ways we can improve as people, though — myself 100 per cent included."

Kardashian said she appreciated the social media user's second message "because of how you stated it," but denied that her family spends money on pointless material goods.

"Yes, I do choose to spoil my daughter. I want to spoil her with love as well [as] with material items. She will be also raised with values, responsibilities, chores, respect, self love," Kardashian responded. "We all work hard and we are able to spend our money in the way that we choose. I hope that's what comes across to 'the outside world.'"
