Jackie Chan's most badass stunts

Action legend Jackie Chan is famous for doing his own stunts, however dangerous they may be.

The 64-year-old martial artist has been injured on the job multiple times, broken numerous bones and even come close to death.

However, that hasn't stopped him from fearlessly pursuing high-risk thrills for our entertainment, year after year. 

In his own words, "Anyone can be a Superman, but nobody can be Jackie Chan."

The Opera House fight in Bleeding Steel

In the 2018 techno-sci-fi thriller Bleeding Steel, Chan played a special forces agent tasked with tracking down a deranged, mecha-enhanced villain.

The chase takes him to Sydney, where he performs an epic fight scene on top of iconic Australian landmark, the Sydney Opera House.

The roof escape in The Foreigner

Chan starred as a former Vietnam War special operations forces soldier in 2017's The Foreigner alongside Pierce Brosnan.

Seeking revenge on the London bombers who killed his daughter, Chan's character will go to any lengths to track them down, but there's somebody onto him.

Behold, the scene in which he breaks through a house's roof to get away from the bad guys. 

The bicycle ninja in The Spy Next Door 

2010's The Spy Next Door saw Chan move to the US suburbs to play a former CIA spy moonlighting as a suburban step-dad.

Showing off some serious skills, he fought off a gang of Russian mobsters using a kid's bicycle, winning over his disbelieving step-children in the process. 

The invisible gang in Shinjuku Incident 

In Shinjuku Incident (2009), Chan played an illegal Chinese immigrant in Japan who inadvertently becomes involved in both sides of a war on the streets of Tokyo in an attempt to win back his lost love.

The film doesn't shy away from brutal scenes of group violence, which can be bloodcurdling in its intensity.

Known as Steelhead, Chan's most impressive trick is materialising a gang of street thugs to have his back against the Yakuza.
