Inside Gwen Stefani's star-studded baby shower

Rock goddess Gwen Stefani was treated to an A-list baby shower on the weekend with celebrity pals like Nicole Richie, Rachel Zoe and Jessica Alba in attendance.

True to form, Gwen rocked out leather pants, arriving in a silver Mercedes Benz with BFF Gwyneth Paltrow. A party insider told Us Weekly that "people cheered as soon as she walked in".

The 44-year-old singer and designer was apparently the life of the party, which wrapped up at the rock'n'roll time of 3pm. "There were lots of people laughing and it seemed like everyone was having a lot of fun," said the source. "It was very lively!"

Decorating the Hotel Bel Air with all things baby-blue, the No Doubt frontwoman celebrated the impending birth of her third son in style with bountiful blue donuts and candies, bouquets of white roses surrounded by candles and a baby's head cake.

She may be "just a girl", but this mama seems to be pretty talented at bringing boys into the world. Gwen and husband Gavin Rossdale, 48, already have two boys Kingston, seven, and Zuma, five. "I was ready to hand over the crown," she tweeted last month. "But I guess I am still queen of the house. #itsaboy #surroundedbyboys."
