Home and Away's Kristy Wright, 38, hasn't aged a day, teases next acting project: Watch!

Kristy Wright is back!

The Home and Away alum gave a rare interview on Friday's episode of The Daily Edition, where she opened up about her return to acting 20 years after making it big on the iconic Australian soap opera.

Despite time rolling on, the Sydney-born actress looked as if she'd hardly aged a day. She starred on the iconic soap opera from 1995 and 1999, and she had a pretty fantastic reaction to when she found out that her character, the troubled Chloe Richards, was to be killed off in a car accident during a brief return to the show in 2005. 

"Probably in hindsight not the smartest thing to do," she joked with the hosts about the shocking plot twist.

"I loved my time on Home and Away. When they asked me to come back for those few weeks I was really excited and then when I saw that I was going to die I was like 'oh'," she said with a feigned cry.

But there's definitely no hard feelings.

"I thought, OK, I guess it closes a really important chapter in my life. And apparently my [character's daughter] Olivia is on the show now at 16 or 17-years old, which just makes me feel really old," she said.

Kristy, a single mum, has been keeping plenty busy with three-year-old son Jai at home in Los Angeles. In fact, she admitted that she's occasionally caught up with some of her Home and Away cast mates around town.

"It's been a few years since I've seen Isla [Fisher]. I saw Chris [Hemsworth] not too long ago," said Kristy.

As for the future, she's working on a new film called Stranded Pearl, which is due out in cinemas in next April. She shared that she'd spent the last six weeks shooting the film in the Cook Islands.

"After a little bit of time out of the industry, being a mama and all that, I am kind of putting my feet back into the waters, so to speak," she said.
