There were a number of amazing performances at this year's Grammy Awards, but the one that had everyone talking was 'Old Town Road' by Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus.

The duo were joined by Diplo, Mason Ramsey, Nas and the South Korean boy band, BTS, for their country rap anthem and the internet went into a frenzy.

One person described the performance as a "fever dream" while another viewer called it a "roller coaster of emotions."

The performance was introduced by Ellen DeGeneres who called Lil Nas X an inspiration. The performance began with the artist sitting in a room surrounded by his own magazine covers on the walls.

Meanwhile, paying tribute to the late Kobe Bryant — who died in a helicopter crash earlier today — Lil Nas X had Bryant's jersey hanging up behind him.

'Old Town Road' was first released by Lil Nas X in December 2018. When Billy Ray Cyrus joined him for a remix, the song became a viral hit and broke the Billboard's Hot 100 record by spending 19 weeks at No. 1.

On a personal note, Nas also used his platform to come out as gay.

"I hope my actions are enough to inspire other young LGBTQI+ children coming up to not be afraid to be themselves, but I feel pressure to be a role model for the community," he told Variety.
