Grammys 2017: Adele dramatically stops and restarts George Michael tribute

Singing sensation Adele had the honour of performing a tribute to the late George Michael at the 59th Grammy Awards.

But, after she was well into her rendition of 'Fast Love', the 28-year-old stopped mid-performance because she felt she wasn't doing the legend justice.

"I know it's live TV but I need to start again, I f---ed it up," she said, stopping the show. "I can't do it again like last year."

The singer was of course referring to her epic technical difficulties during 'All I Ask' at the 2016 Grammy awards where she "cried all day" afterwards.

"I'm sorry for swearing and I'm sorry for starting again," she said. "Can we please start it again? I can't mess this up for him."

Even though to the untrained ear her performance was flawless, her decision to stop was well-received by the audience in the room, who were overcome with emotion.

The second execution was even better than the first, with the British singer receiving a standing ovation for her efforts.

The singer, who won Song of the Year with 'Hello', apologised again for swearing upon receiving her accolade.

One thing is for sure, only Adele can swear on live TV and get away with it.
