Gigi Hadid returns to catwalk modelling less than six months after giving birth

Gigi Hadid is back to work as a runway model, less than six months after giving birth.

The 25-year-old hit the catwalk at Versace's Fall 2021 show on Friday, her first job after welcoming her daughter Khai last September.

She sported a new hair colour for the occasion, opening the show and debuting long red locks.

"Opening & closing Versace is always an honor and was the best come'back'", Hadid wrote on Instagram.

"Mostly just lucky to be healthy, working, and in a safe/tested environment to hug so many I've missed like family this past year."

Hadid's sister Bella also walked in the show, and appeared side-by-side during segments of the virtual show.

Hadid recently appeared on the cover of Vogue, and opened up about how her body has changed since giving birth.

"I know that I'm not as small as I was before, but I also am a very realistic thinker," she said.

"I straight up was like, 'Yeah, I'll shoot a Vogue cover, but I'm obviously not going to be a size 0,' nor do I, at this point, feel like I need to be back to that."

She added that she feels lucky to be living in a time where it's ok to not be rail-thin in fashion.

"I also think it's a blessing of this time in fashion that anyone who says that I have to be that can suck it," she said.
