Gigi Hadid has an Instagram look-alike and the internet is freaking out

Prepare to do a double take because this Dutch model and blogger is officially Gigi Hadid’s twin.

Scroll down Iza Ijzerman’s Instagram and you would be right to mistake her for the 22-year-old Victoria’s Secret model, both sporting long blond waves, a plump pout and light blue eyes.

Aside from their obvious physical similarities, the pair also share something else. Gigi’s famous mum, Yolanda Hadid, hails from the Netherlands. We’re starting to think there’s maybe a third Hadid sister we don’t know about.

Refinery29 spoke to the Dutch doppelgänger, and to no surprise, she has heard this comparison before. "The first time someone mentioned it was on Instagram," she explained.

"When I signed with MiLK, they posted a picture with the caption 'The new curvy Gigi Hadid,' so that's the moment I realized it might be true!"

And although she can see the resemblance when her hair is in a ponytail, Iza admitted, "I think I look more like Bella."

While Gigi is yet to comment on her newly found twin, she previously spoke to Vogue Australia about her increasing social-media popularity.

"In my specific case, it’s my job to share what I’m doing with the people that are following me because they want to see an inside to a world that they wouldn’t otherwise be able to connect with," she told the mag.

"That goes the same for everyone - we follow people to be part of their lives and if that’s looking at a selfie then that’s it. And if you don’t want to see it, don’t follow that person."

And for the perfect selfie? Her secret can be summed up in two words: "good lighting!"

"I always try to go next to windows," she says. "Or, if you’re outside, go into the shade and face towards the light."
