Revenge star Madeline Stowe robbed of $75k in jewellery…at gunpoint…while naked
Actress Madeline Stowe experienced a real-life moment as nail-biting as anything her character Victoria Grayson endured over four seasons of her cancelled TV series Revenge.
According to TMZ, intruders broke into the 57-year-old actress's home and made off with $75,000 worth of jewellery.
The website obtained the police documents describing the incident, which occurred in September of 2015. Madeline was asleep with her husband, actor Brian Benben, 59, when she heard someone rummaging through the bathroom.
After she confronted the intruder, he held her at gunpoint and demanded in broken English: "I want all the valuable. I want something."
She gave him a bag filled with $75,000 worth of antique jewellery before he ran off. Oh, and she happened to be naked during the entire episode.
Police arrested a suspect, a Latino man maned Walter Canizalez, months later in a separate attempted robbery during which he was wearing a Spider-Man mask. He's believed to have been involved in three other armed home invasions and now faces battery and robbery charges.
Madeline has not commented on the incident, but we're glad she emerged relatively unscathed (minus a lot of jewellery and with a possibly bruised ego). As Victoria Grayson well knows (RIP), things could have ended so much worse.
