Home and Away star Emily Symons welcomes first baby at age 45
Emily Symons has just received the best possible early birthday present.
One week before her 46th birthday on August 10, the Home and Away star gave birth to a baby boy.
It's the first child for Emily and her partner, radio executive Paul Jackson, who has three children from a previous relationship.
Emily announced her pregnancy in February. The news came after the couple spent years trying to conceive, going through multiple IVF procedures before getting a positive result.
"I very much thought it couldn't happen and I was too old," Emily told The Sunday Telegraph. "I thought it would be impossible, but it isn't.
"I'd given up, really. I thought I had tried every avenue that was available to us. My advice is to not give up if you're feeling a bit overwhelmed by the whole process."
Congrats to Emily and Paul!
Since you've now got babies on the brain, here's a vintage bub moment from Emily's show, starring Chris Hemsworth.
