So, that's what he's been cooking.

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson swapped the set beaches of the Baywatch movie to revisit his Wrestlemania roots after months of Instagram teasers.

The eight-time WWE champion returned to the ring with swagger during WrestleMania 32, for the first time since his cameo alongside Ronda Rousey at WWE WrestleMania 31 bout in March 2015.

In the video above from his match, the 43-year-old strips off and rekindles his signature people's elbow move, before shouting out his battle cry, "Do you smell what the rock is cooking?"

But his homecoming wasn't just about flaunting his trademark moves, the semi-retired pro wrestler also broke a few records.

"The Rock is back in Dallas," he told the crowd. "The Rock is back on WrestleMania. I told you we were going to make history, something that has never been done before."

And make history he did. The wrestler-turned-actor later took to Instagram to clarify his records.

He's now the title holder for the quickest match at six seconds and helped set a new Wrestlemania attendance record at 101,763 people.
