Death metal band Decapitated arrested on suspicion of kidnapping a female fan
All four members of the death metal band Decapitated were arrested on Saturday on suspicion of kidnapping a woman after a concert the previous week.
The Polish band – who are currently in the middle of their Double Homicide tour - were taken into custody at around 2am on September 9, after finishing a show in Santa Ana, California.
According to the Spokane Police Department, the woman called police on September 1 just before 2am and told them that she was kidnapped by the band after attending their concert the night before in Spokane, Washington.
Police arrested Michael Mikolaj Lysejko, 27, Rafal Tomasz Piotrowski, 31, Hubert Edward Wiecek, 30, and Waclaw Jan Kieltyka, 35.
They are currently being held in the Los Angeles County Jail and will face extradition to Spokane.
Their Spokane-based defense attorney was hired on Thursday after Decapitated became aware they were being investigated by police.
"There is another side to this," attorney Steve Graham told The Spokesman-Review. "We have witnesses that can testify to the fact that the accuser came to visit the band of her own free will and left on good terms."
According to Steve, the band will not fight extradition.
