Husband and wife arrested for posing as Adele's manager to get free concert tickets

A Miami, Florida, couple has been arrested in an alleged identity theft scheme that seems more ripped from Bonnie and Clyde than real life.

Detectives arrested husband and wife Justin Jackson and Angel Lii on May 8 after they said the couple posed as Adele's longtime manager, Jonathan Dickins, in order to get free concert tickets to see rapper Kendrick Lamar perform at Miami's Rolling Loud hip hop festival, according to the Miami Herald.

Kendrick Lamar wasn't the only target. The newspaper reported that over the past year, the suspects allegedly used fake email addresses to contact representatives for musicians including Rihanna, Usher, Drake, Katy Perry, Chris Brown and Pharrell to obtain free tickets and swag.

The real-life Jonathan Dickins reported the activity to police over a year ago, and authorities had been investigating the couple since then.

In the latest alleged attempt, a detective posing as Kendrick Lamar's production manager told Justin Jackson that he could pick up the comped tickets at Miami's Bayfront Park. When Justin Jackson and Angel Lii arrived, they were taken into police custody. The couple is facing grand theft and identify theft charges.

Justin Jackson previously served two years in prison for impersonating Madonna's manager and convincing a New York boutique to loan him $2.4 million in jewelry in 2007. He then sold the jewels to a Florida pawn shop.
