Well, we didn’t see this coming! Cody Simpson has split from his girlfriend of one year, Gigi Hadid, with sources blaming busy work schedules.
It’s a surprise considering the 17-year-old Aussie export has made no secret he’s totally smitten with Gigi, a Sports Illustrated model with a love for getting fully nude in shoots. Check out the pics above.
The rumours first rumbled in JustJared on the weekend, with a source saying: "They agreed that things were finally over on Thursday." Another friend told the site, "The split was amicable and they’ll remain best friends."
A rep for Cody confirmed the news overnight, saying: "I can confirm they have split."
Rewind a few weeks and the 'Love' pop star was telling the world how he would do anything to make his relationship with Gigi work.
“I’ll literally text, call, fly do anything to make it work,” he told Hollywood Life. "I have so much going on that it’s busy to balance relationships, but it’s really worth it.
"I’ll literally travel as long as it takes. When I’m into a girl, I’m really into her. I’m all in or I’m all out."

It’s believed the couple split due to his commitments with Dancing With The Stars in LA, while she has been travelling the world with modelling.
