Cody Simpson reflects on dating his first girlfriend Kylie Jenner
Aussie singer and athlete athlete has recalled meeting Kanye West for the first time when dating his first-ever girlfriend, Kylie Jenner.
Speaking to Nova radio hosts Fitzy and Wippa, Simpson shared that he met West at a dinner in New York when he first moved to the US to pursue his music career at age 15.
"I met Kanye when I first moved to the States, like, my very first girlfriend was Kylie [Jenner]. And so and at the time he was with Kim [Kardashian]," he explained.

"I'm sitting next to Kayne at this dinner, you know, he's really nice... he can be quite intimidating when he's not smiling, but then he smiles, like really quick.
"He was friendly and I was quite surprised (at) how to normal it all was but yeah, I mean, as a young kid, then it was nuts."
Simpson has dated many famous American celebrities since starting his career in 2010, including model Gigi Hadid from 2013-2015, and more recently Miley Cyrus, the couple having a very public breakup in 2020 after one year of dating.

But he says that since coming back to Australia, he hasn't had much time for dating as he is focusing on his swimming career.
"It's been a little bit more mellow since coming home. And it's hard like with training to do to, you know, to deal with that, you know, especially like, if you're trying to see someone that...doesn't understand."
