Christie Hayes' shocking admission about her relationship with Daniel White

Former Home and Away star Christie Hayes has made a shocking admission about her past relationship with Daniel White.

Speaking to Stellar, the 32-year-old said that she lived with her ex for nearly two years after separating. She told the newspaper that they made the decision to continue living together for the sake of their children Hendrix, four, and Harley, three.

Keeping their breakup quiet, Hayes said it was a "liberating feeling" to finally go public with their split.

"It was the most liberating feeling when I finally came out because the reality is that Daniel and I slept in separate beds," she told the publication.

"While I think that's a noble thing to do for a certain amount of time, I don't think there's any glory in just staying together... I have nothing but love, he does for me also," she added.

In April last year, the TV actress announced their parting of ways.

"Sorry I have been a bit AWOL the last few months, I've had a lot of welcome changes!" she wrote on Instagram at the time.

"Daniel and I went our separate ways quite a while back now (we were strictly flatmates in every way for over a year and a half, and ladies you have to know your worth and not settle for anything less than happiness!)."

She continued, "But the boys are both our priority and I can't wait to keep all the amazing things coming this year! Xx."

In 2018, Hayes also garnered media attention when she revealed that she became pregnant again just six months after the birth of her first child, Hendrix.

"I was interested in sex straight away," she told Mamamia's This Glorious Mess podcast.

During her first pregnancy, she said that she didn't have sex with White. "Nine months to go without sex is quite a long time. But I missed my husband and we were kind of missing each other."

After starring on Home and Away from 2000 to 2009, Hayes will soon reappear with a new role on Aussie soap Neighbours.

"The second I walked on set I was reminded why I love acting," she told the outlet.
