Chrissy Teigen reveals son Miles has type 1 diabetes in heartfelt post: 'New world for us'
Chrissy Teigen has shared an update on her son after fans spotted the six-year-old wearing a monitor at the Olympics.
In a heartfelt post shared to her 42.3 million Instagram followers, the model, 38, revealed her and husband John Legend's son Miles was recently diagnosed with type 1 diabetes.
"A lot of you noticed something a little special about a photo I posted a few days ago – Luna, Miles and I celebrating Simone and team USA," Teigen wrote.

Teigen, along with her son and eight-year-old daughter Luna, were spotted cheering on Simone Biles and the USA women's gymnastics team with hand-made signs in Paris.
"Miles had his arm up, and soooo many of you reached out to say the most beautiful and incredible words I have ever witnessed on this platform," she continued.
"You noticed his type-1 diabetes monitor and extended so much love and encouragement in every way possible," she said, praising the display of kindness.

The model shared her son was seeing a specialist after a hospital visit for shigella a couple of weeks ago led to his "lifetime" diabetes diagnosis.
Teigen revealed the six-year-old was given his first shot of insulin the night before.
"A different, new world for us and we are certainly learning so much on the fly," she wrote.

The mum-of-two signed off by thanking fans for their kindness amid Miles' diagnosis.
"It helps miles so much to know so many other people are going through the same thing and he is not alone," she signed off the heartfelt message.
Many fans and people in the diabetes community took the the comments section to extend the love and thank Teigen for sharing Miles' health journey.

"This kind of thing can be so isolating for families and, when someone like you experiences the same thing, it really helps folks not feel so alone," someone praised.
Teigen's hubby John Legend commented some sweet red heart emojis under the post.
Teigen and Legend share four children together including Luna and Miles.
After being open about the heartbreaking loss of their son Jack at 20 weeks in 2020, the pair welcomed Esti, one in January 2023 and son Wren via surrogate in June, 2023.
