Chris Pratt cuts Jennifer Lawrence out of his selfies to mock her social media absence

Jennifer Lawrence is that rare celebrity you won't find much on social media. Aside from a hardly updated Facebook page, which is really just used to promote her movies, she's disconnected from the fun and games of Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat and the like.

So, while on the promo trail for their new sci-fi flick Passengers over the past few days, Jen's co-star Chris Pratt has taken a series of hilarious digs at her social media absence.

The 37-year-old has been cutting the Oscar winner out of his selfies just for LOLs. They include this shot of his "best buddy Jen":

In the Instagram video above, Chris boasted about finally capturing the 26-year-old actress on camera as she tried to run off behind him.

"Here's an extremely artistic and meaningful video I made in which Jen is heavily featured. #passengersmovie," he captioned the shot.

So how did this all start? Earlier this week, Chris promised fans "a selfie with Jen", to no avail.

"I'll get her tomorrow," he said after full day of press.

Come Tuesday, he tweeted that he'd "cropped #JenniferLawrence out of this picture".

Two days ago, he dropped the elusive J-Law on Instagram – featuring half of her face. Why so shy, Katniss?!

"Finally got that selfie with Jen y'all wanted #passengersmovie," Chris wrote.

Chris sneakily snapped Jen getting her hair done – from behind, of course.

She couldn't make it to this selfie either.

So is Jen in on the joke? Could she actually be participating in social media and be pranking us all?

We think she's probably enjoying the whole thing more than she'll ever let on.
