The double Oscar winner and talk show host's interview took a wildly flirty turn, with Cate joking about removing her underwear and Ellen inviting her to "lay down". What?

It all started when Cate, 46, revealed she slept with her future husband Andrew Upton, 49, after three days together. They got engaged 21 days later and voila!, they've been married for 18 years.

Their courtship involved alcohol, gambling, tattoos and a stuffed trout. Oh, romance.

The Aussie star, who plays a lesbian character in her next Oscar chance Carol, previously confessed to having intimate relationships with women…but they didn't involve sex.

Ellen, 57, has been married to Portia de Rossi, 42, for seven years. There's something about those elegant Aussie blonde actresses, right?
