Hi-5 star Casey Burgess welcomes first child after 'long and insane ride' with emergency surgery
Casey Burgess is officially a mum!
The former Hi-5 performer has welcomed her first child, a son, with husband Matt Meffan.
Burgess, 36, announced the news to her 35,400 Instagram followers in an emotional message where she also revealed she had to deliver via an emergency C-section.

"Billy James Meffan 🦋💙," Burgess' message, which was accompanied by a photo of herself holding her newborn with Meffan next to her in hospital scrubs, began.
"Our hearts are bursting – after a long and insane ride with an emergency C-section to finish off the day we have a perfect little man who we can't stop staring at.
"Thank you for all of the beautiful messages ... best day of our lives xx," her message concluded.
Fans and loved ones alike rushed to congratulate Burgess on her milestone, including her former co-star Nathan Foley.
"Congrats Guys 🕺🏻," Foley, 45, commented on the post.
Original Hi-5 member Charli Robinson commented, "Congratulations!!!😍😍😍".

Country singer Missy Lancaster, meanwhile, wrote: "Awwww!!!! Congratulations little Billy ❤️❤️ big hugs to mum and dad xxxxxxx".
"Oh sweetheart. Look at you [three]. Congratulations," actress Georgie Parker said.
Burgess and Meffan met on a dating app during COVID-19, and got engaged in front of the Sydney Harbour Bridge in July 2022 after dating for one-and-a-half years.
The couple then travelled to Paris, France, where Burgess chose her engagement ring, before tying the knot in 2023.
Burgess, who is the daughter of Australian singer and former Countdown presenter Ray Burgess, 73, confirmed her pregnancy in September, sharing a video to Instagram cradling her growing bump.
"Something happened literally overnight 🤰 #bump #baby," Burgess wrote alongside the footage.

Burgess rose to fame in 2008, when she joined Hi-5.
She left the children's entertainment group in 2013, and started pursuing a solo singing career.
Her debut album, Space to Breathe, was released in October 2020.
