Cara Delevingne's 'reptile ears' shock fans -- but there's a reason for her 'body modification'
She's well known as a fashion-forward influencer, but Cara Delevingne's latest accessory has fans very confused -- and quite weirded out.
The 25-year-old model stepped out at Paris Fashion Week with reptilian-like ribbed ears, prompting speculation that she's undergone body modification.
"Embrace your weirdness," Delevingne tells fans on Instagram.
As well as attracting some strange looks while sitting front row the Dior runway show, fans took to Twitter to share their confusion.
So, what exactly is going on here? If you look closely, the telling crinkles of makeup are visible, which would point to the modification being simply prosthetics and not a surgical change.
Delevingne also normally has tattoos on her ears, which are completely covered by the reptilian adornment.
The budding actor has been shooting a new mythological TV series called Carnival Row, in which she plays Vignette Stonemoss, "a faery fleeing persecution", opposite Orlando Bloom.
The most likely explanation is that the on-set hair and makeup team are behind her statement look.
