Britney Spears explains why her 'body looks a little different' after shaking up her diet

Britney Spears has shared some recent changes she's made to her diet.

The 39-year-old pop star posted a dance video, revealing her body looks a "little different" as her last clip was a throwback.

"The last video that I posted of me dancing was from months ago," Spears wrote, "hence why my body looks a little different in this new video!!!!"

In Spears' post, she showed off some choreography by twirling to Otis Redding's soul track '(Sittin' On) The Dock of the Bay.' In the caption, she gave more details about the different eating habits she's adopted.

"No … I didn't follow through with the ice cream diet," she wrote, alongside an ice cream emoji. "I chose portion control which is very hard when it comes to Doritos!!!!! On a positive note … my body does feel way better now!!!!"

Spears also explained her intentions to get new dancing shoes as the floors in her home have left her with blisters.

"If you're wondering why I have socks at the tip of my toes ... well I'm waiting for real lyrical shoes !!!!" the 'Stronger' singer wrote. "The marble floor has done a number on my feet with blisters so white tape covered with a black sock will have to do for now !!!! My lyrical shoes come tomorrow and I haven't worn a pair since I was 9 so I'm sure they're even better these days !!!"

Spears' affairs have recently been a global conversation after the release of The New York Times documentary Framing Britney Spears.

The film focusses on Spears' conservatorship, her ascent to fame and mental health issues.
