Britney Spears and boyfriend David Lucado have 'split'

Britney Spears and her legal assistant boyfriend David Lucado have apparently called it quits after a year of dating.

"Britney and David split a while ago," a source told x17. "Britney's been focusing on her boys after the break up."

The singer tweeted the photo below this week with her sons Sean, eight and Jayden, seven. And yep, the usually present boyfriend was nowhere to be seen…

According to x17, the split was "amicable." But TheFIX is secretly hoping the real reason is because she's found love with the Britney fan in the viral vid below…

But nobody seems to know when this alleged split actually happened.

After all, the singer posted the loved-up snap below to her Instagram just two weeks ago. Then the pair were snapped getting lunch together last week.

Erm, we'll believe this breakup rumour when it comes straight from the 'Toxic' singer's mouth.
