Bradley Cooper is reportedly set to star in upcoming film Red-Blooded American about the doping scandal of controversial cyclist Lance Armstrong.

According to Deadline, the Silver Linings Playbook actor will be jumping on-board to co-produce the Warner Bros project, to be written by Side Effects screenwriter Scott Z Burns.

Bradley, 38, is in talks to play either Lance or his teammate Tyler Hamilton, who famously revealed the cyclist's doping habits on 60 Minutes.

The star was also rumoured earlier this year to be playing the role of the cyclist in a separate JJ Abrams directed production based on the book Cycle of Lies: The Fall of Lance Armstrong, written by New York Times sports reporter Juliet Macur.

With Working Title films also planning to release another biopic of the cyclist's life written by Trainspotting screenwriter John Hodge.

You can see Bradley alongside Jennifer Lawrence when American Hustle hits Aussie cinemas on January 14, 2014. Watch the trailer below and vote 'want to see' or 'not interested' on MovieBuzz.
