Brad Pitt will fight Angelina Jolie for joint custody of their six children
When Angelina Jolie shocked the world and filed for divorce from Brad Pitt on September 20, she also asked for sole physical custody of their six children...but it doesn’t look like Brad is going to let that happen without a fight.
According to TMZ, the actor will "fight and fight hard" for joint custody of their brood, which includes Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 8.
Sources told the site, Angelina "is dreaming if she thinks she can take his kids away from him."
While Brad, 52, thinks Angelina, 41, is a "great mother" and doesn’t want to hurt her in the divorce, sources close to the Maleficent star told the site that he "heavily indulges in weed and alcohol," and has an "anger problem, which poses a threat to their kids." Sources added, however, that he has never put their children in danger.
Following news of the divorce filing Monday, Brad released a statement saying, "I am very saddened by this, but what matters most now is the well-being of our kids. I kindly ask the press to give them the space they deserve during this challenging time."
In the meantime, Madame Tussauds wax musuem in London has separated their figures in light of the divorce news.
"The couple's wax figures, which were launched in 2013, have been split up and are now featured at a respectful distance from each other," said a museum spokesperson in a statement. "Angelina is keeping Nicole Kidman company and Brad Pitt is with his several time co-star Morgan Freeman."
