A former The Bachelorette contestant has revealed he's fallen on times so tough, he can barely make ends meet.

Magician Apollo Jackson — who first appeared in Sophie Monk's Bachelorette season in 2017 and then again in Bachelor in Paradise last year — took to Instagram to open up about his new reality now that the job offers have dried up.

"It's been a crappy few months for me, entertainment has its ups and downs," he wrote. "The last few months have challenged me intensely, works dried up, I'd had just 2 paying gigs this year, my phone, subscriptions both entertainment and work cut off for the last few months."

And it's not for a lack of trying, said Apollo, who in recent months did stints for Arnott's Tim Tams and clothing brand Johnny Bigg. The Queenslander said he has hustled in the last six months only to see his hard work go down the drain. With no gigs and next to no money, Apollo couldn't even afford a visit to the dentist to treat a painful toothache.

"My stage show I worked my a-- off for 6 months on only sold 11 tickets so I had to cancel it, training for my first mma fight I tore the ligaments in both arms and ruptured one of the tendons, unable to afford a dentist a nerve exposed broken tooth has made me unable to sleep most nights while I've worked my butt off developing new skills and chasing work, applying for jobs that I had no luck getting," he revealed.

"Everything I'd been working on for 8+ months had been rejected, shut down or a failure."

But despite his hardship, Apollo is keeping his chin up and having faith it will all work out.

"Everyone gets a pile up of crappy times, they can take a toll you mentally," he concluded. "If you're struggling with something it's ok to talk about how your feeling with your mates and family we all have struggles. Im excited for whatever lies around the corner and determined as ever, watch this space!"

Fellow reality stars have since rallied around Apollo, with Bachelorette co-stars Luke McLeod and James Trethewie showing their support on Instagram.

"Just went back and saw the post my man. A lot of courage to share what you did. We need more of this type of vulnerability shared on SM. Especially from people like you that can have a big influence on others," wrote Luke, while James commented, "Big love brother."

Even Married At First Sight participant Mike Gunner weighed in.
