Aussie actress and Star Wars star Trisha Noble dies aged 76
Aussie actress and pop singer Trisha Noble has reportedly died following an 18-month health battle.
According to the Daily Mail, Noble passed away on January 23 after suffering complications from a tumour caused by inhaled asbestos fibres. She died just two weeks shy of her 77th birthday on February 5.

Born Patsy Ann Noble, the star got her start on the TV show Bandstand before she pursued a music career. After experiencing several hits — including 'Like I'm In Love', 'Good Looking Boy' and 'Busy Lips' — she turned her focus on acting and moved to the UK, where she starred in TV shows such as Danger Man and Callan, while also appearing on the big screen in Death of a Woman and Carry On Camping.
In the late 60s, Noble moved to the US and changed her name to Trisha. While stateside, she landed roles in The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Columbo and The Rockford Files.

Most notably, Noble has appeared in two Star Wars films — Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones (2002) and Episode III - Revenge of the Sith (2005) — playing Jobal Naberrie, the mother of Natalie Portman's character, Padme Amidala.
In 2007, Noble returned to Australia and most recently appeared starred in the local theatre production Ladies In Black.
