Ariana Grande responds to fan accusation that she's 'milking' Mac Miller's death

Ariana Grande is defending herself after a fan seemingly accused her of using Mac Miller's death as a means of staying relevant.

The 25-year-old singer -- who dated Miller for a year and a half -- has been paying tribute to her ex-boyfriend since his September 7 death. Most recently, on Thanksgiving by sharing a throwback photo on her Instagram Stories of herself and Miller celebrating the holiday together.

"She milkin this s--- bruh," one Twitter use shared on the platform the next day, referring to her tribute.

Grande responded, tweeting on Saturday, "I pray you never have to deal with anything like this ever and I'm sending you peace and love."

She added: "Some of the s--- I read on here makes me sick to my stomach. It scares me the way some people think and I don't like this world a lot of the time. If only we could be more compassionate and gentle with one another. That'd be sick."

Grande and Miller broke up earlier this year.

Miller died from an accidental overdose due to a combination of alcohol and drugs, including fentanyl, a coroner's report released in early September said.

The Los Angeles County coroner's report named the 26-year-old cause of death as "mixed toxicity," and said cocaine, alcohol and the powerful opioid fentanyl were found in his system.

Grande's most recent single, 'Thank U, Next' references the rapper with the lyric, "Wish I could say thank you to Malcolm / 'Cause he was an angel."
