ANTM's Brittany on her finale collapse: 'I couldn't keep my body up any longer'
She may be the hot favourite to win Australia's Next Top Model, but former bob cat driver Brittany Beattie buckled under the pressure when she collapsed on stage during the taping of the finale a few months ago.
The 21-year-old had a scary moment when she fell in front of guest judge Tyra Banks, judges Jennifer Hawkins and Alex Perry and the live audience.
"It was like I couldn't keep my body up any longer," the Whittlesea local told TV WEEK. "I ended up getting really, really hot and I couldn't breathe in the tight dress I was wearing."
Brittany, who had a series of anxiety attacks earlier in the season, is quick to point out "it wasn't an anxiety attack".
"I had been up since really early that morning," she explains. "We had been filming for a fair few hours. I was just exhausted. All the energy I'd used and the excitement got to me, along with the heat."
