Angelina Jolie may be queen of Hollywood, but she literally carried out royal duties Thursday in London!

The actress and humanitarian, 43, attend the Service of Commemoration and Dedication at St Paul's Cathedral. The royal event honours the 200th anniversary of the Most Distinguished Order of St Michael and St George, an elite recognition for those who work in foreign service as officers and diplomats.

Jolie was an unexpected treat for onlookers, but not entirely unlikely due to her expansive charity work as Goodwill Ambassador to the United Nations (a title she's held since 2001). Earlier this month, she completed a humanitarian mission in West Mosul, Iraq.

For the ceremony, The Maleficent star appeared to channel the ladylike-chic style of newly minted Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle, donning an knee-length Ralph & Russo couture dress in soft eggshell that featured a cowl bateau neck and long sleeves. She teamed it with a matching fascinator, gloves and pumps.

Jolie's London visit came amid reports that she and estranged husband Brad Pitt are working towards a more harmonious custody arrangement with their six children.
