Amanda Bynes joins Instagram, debuts new pink hair

Amanda Bynes has returned to Instagram with a whole new look.

On Tuesday, the 33-year-old actress tweeted that she was back on Insta.

"Hey guys, I'm on Instagram now. Check me out," she wrote on Twitter, sharing a new selfie.

Her first post showed off her new pink hairdo and septum ring to her three million followers.

Bynes recently left inpatient treatment after checking into rehab in January. She's currently based in a sober living facility according to Page Six.

The actress typically keeps a low profile on social media, keeping her Twitter updated with major events like her recent graduation from the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM).

She shared a picture of herself at graduation, tweeting, "FIDM graduate 2019," on June 25.

"Amanda is still inpatient in a mental health facility," the friend said at the time. "She was able to get an outing pass for a few hours for the special occasion so she could walk with the other students. But she left a little early and was back at the facility at the end of the graduation."

Since her breakout roles in The Amanda Show, What a Girl Wants, and She's the Man, Bynes has battled with mental health and substance abuse issues.

"I don't love acting anymore so I've stopped doing it," she tweeted in June 2010.

The actress was still in inpatient treatment when graduating from the course, a source told People.

The star's tumultuous relationship with social media started when she famously went on a Twitter rant in 2014 after her release from a psychiatric facility.

She returned to social media in 2018 after a rough few years in the public eye, but proceeded to shut down her accounts after fake ones emerged that were impersonating her.
