Casey Donovan and partner Renee Sharples announce they’re expecting a baby
Casey Donovan and her partner Renee Sharples have announced they are expecting a baby.
Taking the happy news to Instagram, the Aussie singer and former Australian Idol star revealed they will become parents early next year.

“After extensive research, clinical assessment and absolutely no musical rehearsal… Baby arriving February 2027 👩🏻🐰👩🏾👶🏽✨️,” Donovan, 38, wrote.
Friends, fellow stars and fans quickly flooded the comments section with congratulations for the couple.
“You did it!! Congrats my babes ❤️,” comedian Em Rusciano wrote.
Singer Ricki-Lee Coulter added: “Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwww ❤️❤️❤️ Congratulations to you both xxxxxxxxx.”
“So happy for you all @caseydonovan88 ❤️❤️,” television star Shelly Horton commented.
Actress Penny McNamee called it “such beautiful happy news,” adding, “Congratulations lovely. 💕.”
The announcement comes after Donovan and Sharples have openly shared their IVF journey with fans.
In April, Donovan revealed the couple had undergone their first embryo transfer at a fertility clinic.

“Today @renee.sharples and I did our first embryo transfer," she wrote in her post.
"I got the 6am flight back from Sydney to Melbourne and after a massive weekend of amazing shows in NSW it was great to be home into the loving arms of my love and put my legs up…Literally 💃🏾"
She added in part of her post, after thanking doctors: "Now we wait…What will be will be. Sending all of the love, light and baby dust to all who are on an IVF journey."
Donovan first rose to fame as a teenager when she won Australian Idol in 2004, beating Anthony Callea in the grand final.

She and Sharples got engaged and announced the happy news in June 2024.
In her announcement post, showing off her ring, Donovan wrote: "21.06.24 on the strawberry moon of the winter solstice the love of my life asked me if I wanted to do this life together forever."
"The day I met you, home was no longer a place it became a person and yes, you are a gypsy but there's nobody else I would rather attach my wagon to on this beautiful road trip called life' and with that, I said yes! 🥰."
