Absolute dingbat decides to drive into a lagoon, obviously immediately regrets it

When your mates say to you “nah, it’s a good idea”, there’s a very high change that “it” is actually not a good idea.

In fact, it’s pretty much guaranteed that it’s the worst idea thought up by any human brain on Earth that day.

Take, for example, this stinker of a situation.

It’s what most people would absolutely put in the “terrible idea” box.

But not this driver.

For some reason, this dropkick decided to steer his four-wheel-drive into the drink and somehow thought it wouldn’t end badly.

Cue a heavy, exasperated sigh.

The bloke filming this silly sausage offered this up as an explanation:

"The lads looked they were daring each other for about an hour or so to drive across the lagoon,” he said.

“They would drive in a small way, then reverse, until one of them, as seen, just pinned it, until he came to a stop due to the depth of the water.

“Then realized he [needed] help, which was finally sorted with the eventual use of two Nissan Patrols to pull him free.

“His car was still running even without the keys and the radio and windscreen snipers still working, even though they were turned off.

“The car eventually stalled and he was towed off the beach… even the tow vehicle looked like it was struggling and overheating.”

How did it end?

Badly, obviously.

“They apparently got off the beach and towed back to Sydney,” the bloke said.

“Sadly, his smokes didn’t survive.”

Look, we don’t need to tell you roo heads not to bloody drive into water, that drinking and driving is illegal and that mucking around with cars like this is straight-up madness.

Buuuut this crap still happens.

So hopefully we can all learn a lesson from this: driving your car into water is bloody stupid.

You don’t need a long neck to be a goose, mate.
