Balenciaga's blue handbag looks an awful lot like this Ikea tote

Made in Italy out of high-quality leather, this tote seems to have been inspired by the classic Ikea carry bag.

And it didn't take long for people to draw the comparison:

It has since gone bananas, with news sites picking up the story the world over.
