Updated Rio Google maps for Olympics
Google says it has updated its coverage of Rio de Janeiro on Google Maps with images of favelas, the Olympic Park and more than 3000 new businesses and interiors of hotels, restaurants and bars.
"It will be the most digital Olympics in history," a Google spokesman said.
Apart from updating the maps, Google will offer official videos of 60 countries with highlights of the Olympic Games through YouTube.
YouTube, a subsidiary of Google, has also sent 15 video producers who will create original content about the games in Rio.
Google will also provide the latest search trends on the games worldwide.
"On Google, searching for information about your favourite athletes and sports, the medal race, or your country's schedule has never been easier," said the company in a blog post which offers automatic updates to users of Google app.
