Tesla announces it will include full self-driving hardware in all of its vehicles

Tesla will provide self-driving capabilities in all the electric cars it builds, the company's founder Elon Musk said on Wednesday.

A new onboard computer with 40 times the processing power of the previous generation will run a new "neural net" for vision, sonar and radar sensors, he said.

"We are excited to announce that, as of today, all Tesla vehicles produced in our factory – including Model 3 – will have the hardware needed for full self-driving capability at a safety level substantially greater than that of a human driver," the Tesla team said in a blog post.
