Tassie farm invention attracts investment

Global technology giant Bosch is pouring money into a Tasmanian invention which is claiming agricultural breakthroughs including reeling in over-production and reducing crop loss due to frost.

The Yield was founded in 2014 and uses real time data, sensors and analytics to solve business problems across the food supply chain.

Bosch will invest $2.5 million in The Yield to develop the technology and scale it globally, in a move that is expected to create almost 20 jobs.
